In response to Brett Kavanaugh’s election and the ongoing violence through language and representation towards women and women-identified bodies this performance seeks to draw attention to this horror through choreography and participatory actions and be a rite of passage. In pulling a Taste of Honey poem I wrote for Rose Hernandez out of my mouth, I viserally reveal horror and beauty interwoven into sexuality, inviting the audience to reclaim their own collective story stitched to my body and ending with the Spare Rib Revisted poem I wrote for Sylvia Hikins. This performance poem is a rite of passage for the times we are living in, in the USA.
