The poem was written the week of the USA election and this lyrical poem was created with artwork and animations by queen of luxuria. The poem engages the audience in questions of how we can live in love with each other? In the tradition of ‘Makar poets’ this piece responds to the times we are living in.
The performance went live on November 22, 2020 on Experiemntal Sound Studios quarantine concert series. Field Chicago co-facilitor, Harlan Rosen commented that I was a: “webpunk woodland digital ghost sprite and all of that.” in the chat. And the queen of luxuria divines that!
I also have to give a big shout out to Burren Art College, Ireland where I was artist in resident in 2018 and magically had a studio next to one of the few copies of the Book of Kells. The Book of Kells was written by monks on Iona in the 8th Century AD and the research I did as part of this residency is reflected in the design and artwork used to create this performance.
