Antelope, Volume 2

A Journal of Oral History and Mayhem edited by Meghan McGrath and Elisa Shoenberger

It is National Poetry Month in April 2022 and I’m very excited that this delicious publication has arrived. It includes one of my poems from the Spare Rib Revisited project written for Sylvia Hikins and a composition written for the poem by Erin Gernon.

Volume 2 of Antelope explores the concept of ‘code’ so we are thrilled to have our collaborative poem and music composition included in this edition. For more details about where to purchase please go to the Antelope website.

Uptown Trilogy (2013 - 2015)

I created three large scale interactive public performances for the neighborhood of Uptown in Chicago from 2013 - 2015. The first performance Unto Each Their Own Safe + More was at the Bridgeview Bank. I calculated what people had not received in their lifetimes due to the racial/ gender pay gap and people received a check for this amount. In 2014 I continued City Alive with Dreams and in 2015 I created a performance called LOVE over MONEY. The curator, Eden Unluata-Foley has written the foreward and it is full of data including the income brackets of the participants, little stories from the performance and luscious photographs taken by Jamie Gannon.

Neighborhood Magic II

This limited edition publication that has a foreward by Susannah Papish, Director & Curator of the Boundary, Beverly Chicago was a co-curator on the project. The book also includes images of the sculptures, all the poetry and an afterward by Carron Little.

This was a two year public engagement project for the Beverly neighborhood in Chicago and you can read more about the project and watch video documentationby clicking on the link below
