Poem for Abilasa Leuenberger

This poem was written thinking about kintsugi being a metaphor for an alchemical process in the body. This poem was written as a gift for Abilasa and thinking about how writing can be an act of liberation. It was fortuitous that the priests from the Cathedral in Girona, Spain granted Isa Fontbona permission on Juneteenth (Liberation Day/Emancipation Day) in commemoration of the end of slavery in the U.S.A. on June 19th, 1865.
